Statewide election dates

  • September 8, 2026: State Primary Election
  • November 3, 2026: State General Election

Two ways you can register to vote in NH:

  1. Register to vote at your local city/town clerk’s office at least 10 days before the date of a primary or general election; or
  2. Register to vote at your poll on the day of the election.

Recent changes in NH election laws include:

  • You must show proof of identity when returning the form to your town/city clerk.
  • The form lists the types of ID you can use.
  • Contact you local town/city clerk with questions.
