Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)

We provide information, advice, and legal representation to individuals who have been discriminated against due to their disability.

How We Can Help

Examples of the types of issues we may be able to assist with:

  • You are being discriminated against because of a TBI.
  • Your child has a brain injury and is not doing well at school.
  • You are having difficulty finding or keeping a job, or being discriminated against at work, because of a TBI.
  • You were denied Medicaid, Supplemental Security Income, Aid to the Permanently and Totally Disabled, or other public benefits.
  • You are being discriminated against by your housing provider because of your disability.
  • You have a brain injury and want to live more independently.
  • You require housing, assistive technology, or other types of services.
  • You (or someone you know) is in prison, jail, or other facility and you are not getting medical or other needed services due to your TBI.

I was denied Medicaid

I was denied Social Security

Although we do not take these cases, you do have the right to appeal your denial.  You can contact the Legal Advice and Referral Center for more information or find a private attorney through the NH Lawyer Referral Service.

 

I was denied Housing

The law protects against discrimination in housing based on disability.
