We are New Hampshire’s designated Protection and Advocacy agency. We are a statewide organization independent from state government and service providers.
What We Do
Legal Assistance
We offer free legal advice and assistance with disability-related legal issues. We offer legal representation on a sliding fee scale (free for most). In addition to assisting individuals with disabilities, we work to create system-wide change through class action litigation.
Litigation
We enforce the rights of people with disabilities through litigation.
Monitoring and Investigations
We have authority to access facilities where people with disabilities live or receive services. We use this access authority to investigate allegations of abuse or neglect and to monitor the rights and safety of people with disabilities.
Policy and Advocacy
We monitor legislative activities that impact the lives of people with disabilities and provide information about the anticipated effects of proposed legislation.
Get Involved
We enjoy participating in outreach events and other opportunities to engage with the community.
