Job Description Examples

Example 1

I am looking for a Respite provider for a young woman, primarily on Saturdays, some Sundays, and occasionally on weekday evenings. The hours are flexible, between 10 am and 8 pm, up to 8 hours a shift.  The young woman is a vibrant individual with many interests and is open to having new experiences. She communicates well but sometimes needs assistance communicating with people she does not know. The responsibilities include activities in the community, such as dining out, visiting the library, attending town activities like craft fairs and festivals, and simply spending time at home. Pay is between $18 to $20 per hour, paid bi-weekly, with mileage reimbursed at $.50 per mile for transport to activities.

Example 2

After-school care is needed on Mondays and Fridays from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. Responsibilities include assisting with food preparation, helping with toileting, playing games, taking walks, and listening to music (Taylor Swift fans are welcome!). The role also requires comfort with pets and occasional transportation. 

Pay is $16 per hour, bi-weekly, with mileage reimbursed at $0.50 per mile for transportation to activities. Candidates must have a high school diploma. One year of experience or some college education is preferred, but training will be provided for those who meet other criteria. Confidentiality and the ability to provide timely and accurate documentation are essential.

Example 3

I am looking for after-school care on Mondays and Fridays from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM at home in Keene to support a young man with developmental disabilities. The responsibilities include assisting with food preparation and feeding, helping with toileting, going on walks, and engaging in activities like listening to music and watching “The Jungle Book.” Applicants must be comfortable with pets and may occasionally need to provide transportation to community activities. The payment range is 15.00 to 18.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Example 4

I am looking for several nursing students to work after school and during weekend hours. This is a job share opportunity with flexible job hours. My daughter has cerebral palsy, is nonverbal, and uses a wheelchair. Responsibilities include feeding, toileting, supporting her during community activities, and spending downtime at home. A clean driver’s license and a willingness to drive a family wheelchair-accessible van are necessary. Training for the right person is available.
