Lakeview Neurorehabilitation Center
In 2014, the state confirmed DRC-NH’s findings of chronic and pervasive programmatic deficiencies at Lakeview, which compromised the health, safety and well-being of its residents. Lakeview was eventually closed down.
Community Mental Health Settlement Agreement (Amanda D. Case)
The Community Mental Health Agreement (CMHA) is a landmark settlement agreement to help people diagnosed with serious mental illness live successfully in the community rather than institutions.

At any given time, we are conducting multiple investigations.
Monitoring
We have a unique access authority to monitor the rights and safety of people with disabilities, whether or not an incident of abuse or neglect has been alleged. Our staff conduct monitoring visits to around 20 institutions throughout the state each month.
Abuse and Neglect
People with disabilities have the right to be free from abuse and neglect and from unnecessary restraint and seclusion.
