Children with disabilities may be entitled to an education and related services, as well as reasonable accommodations and modifications to enable them to receive a free appropriate education in the least restrictive environment. New Hampshire law protects all children from the use of restraint and seclusion in the schools and facilities that serve them, except in emergencies. In addition, New Hampshire law protects children from bullying in schools and provides protections for children who are involved in New Hampshire’s courts due to alleged abuse/neglect, delinquency or as children in need of services (CHINS). Finally, children who are eligible for Medicaid are entitled to a broad array of services to enable them to grow into healthy adults.
