June 16, 2008 update:

There is no need to continue to contact the Governor’s office, DHHS, or key legislators to advocate for full release of the waiting listing funding.

Given how good this decision is you might instead want to express appreciation by emailing or faxing the Governor’s or the DHHS Commissioner’s office.

In the future we will want to be sure that other key parts to SB 138 regarding wage increases and quality services are appropriately funded and implemented.  For now though this is great news.  Affected families and individuals should feel great relief.
